Lucy Adkins grew up in rural Nebraska, and she attended country schools and the University of Nebraska before earning a BA from Auburn University. She is the author of the chapbook One Life Shining: Addie Finch, Farmwife (Pudding House Press, ) and a non-fiction book Writing in Community.

A fantastic collection of poetry, funny, deep, moving and sometimes even unconventional, it has peace in it, love in it and potatoes in it. The humour made me smile several times in it, sometimes it ends on a quirky one liner or quick thought out rhyme but sometimes it can be quite subtle/5.
